In the 8thth minute of the game Carlos Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corregos's Ediberto Saraiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gláuber Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gláuber Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rialma EC booed when Corregos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Corregos's zone, Carlos Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediberto Saraiva came out of the goal and Carlos Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Campidelis in the 29th minute of play forced Rialma EC's goalkeeper Didi Quaresma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rialma EC's zone, Gláuber Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Quaresma came out of the goal and Gláuber Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ediberto Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Murilo Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Jonas Pena from long distance, 49 minutes into the match, got Didi Quaresma's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

59 minutes into the match, Corregos's goalkeeper Ediberto Saraiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Paraense. Fernando Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Saraiva having to interfere. In the 65th minute Carlos Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Tarcisio de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corregos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tarcisio de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomás Fontes in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi Quaresma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Rialma EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gerson Porto hit a great ball. Didi Quaresma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Fontes in the 71st minute of the match. Didi Quaresma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio de Amorim in the 72nd minute of play. When Gerson Porto fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rialma EC's protests and gave Gerson Porto a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Rialma EC got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Porto. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Thomás Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corregos's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi Quaresma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ediberto Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarcisio de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Didi Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomás Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Quaresma having to interfere. Corregos's Ediberto Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Rodrigues in the 94th minute of play. When Fernando Paraense came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rialma EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Paraense couldn't finish the play. Corregos were furious when Jonas Pena was red carded, 99 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 98 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Corregos!
