Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Alberto Catarinense started the match with the kick off. Kléber Maranhense hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Carlos Alberto Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes, José Carlos Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacarini SS and the Arapora FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Betinho Lucass short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Fiori Paraíba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Catarinense in the 23rd minute of play forced Arapora FC's goalkeeper Adolfo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Custódio Sarmento in the 25th minute of the match. If Custódio Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Betinho Lucas made a precise shot to the right of Fiori Paraíba. Jacarini SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 34 played minutes Arapora FC got a freekick which was hit by Breno Valladares. When Carlos Alberto Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Jacarini SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Catarinense couldn't finish the play. Betinho Lucass short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Fiori Paraíba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Silvinho Andrade hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Custódio Sarmento took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo de Mendonça. Adolfo de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Jacarini SS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Jacarini SS's zone, Betinho Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Paraíba came out of the goal and Betinho Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Betinho Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Lima in the 66th minute of play. Fiori Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualter Lima went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Alvarenga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacarini SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arapora FC the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Jerônimo Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Lima in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Betinho Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arapora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betinho Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Betinho Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, José Carlos Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gualter Lima in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
