José Maria Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Alfredão Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ibiuna EC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pedrão Amaral hit a great ball. In the 42nd match minute, Ibiuna EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Amaral to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Pracinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateus de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Pracinha booed when Ibiuna EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Alfredão Proença had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Maria Linares. Pracinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredão Proença was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. José Maria Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo de Queiroz in the 93rd minute of the match.
