The supporters of Caratianas FC booed when Inhomirim EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inhomirim EC's Falcão Rosado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Inhomirim EC from getting a goal against them. When Lauro Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Caratianas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Freitas couldn't finish the play. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Lauro Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Inhomirim EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Freitas came free, but Falcão Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inhomirim EC's Falcão Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséas Dracena in the 92nd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
