Ademar Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gildo Severo succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Pacoval EC's Ademar Maranhense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michel de Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Michel de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Maranhense in the 30th minute of the match. Raúl Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Téo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Brito in the 40th minute of play. Iuri Prestes's late challenge caught a Aracoiaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iuri Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Pacoval EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Prestes to maneuver through the defense. If Ulisses Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gildo Severo made a kick off. Ulisses Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 53 played minutes Pacoval EC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Netto. Téo Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Bastos in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Aracoiaba booed when Pacoval EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Paulo Renato Lopez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pacoval EC's Téo Aguiar didn't even have to move. After 63 minutes of play, Aracoiaba's Raúl Bastos made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Téo Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pacoval EC! The supporters of Pacoval EC booed when Aracoiaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ademar Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacoval EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademar Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ademar Maranhense struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Michel de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacoval EC. If Gildo Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute, Patrício Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Severo in the 97th minute of play forced Aracoiaba's goalkeeper Michel de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Pacoval EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
