Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) João Toscano made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Araioses EC's zone, Benjamin Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Ferraz came out of the goal and Benjamin Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes in the game, Vânderson Peixoto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nestor Veloso having to interfere. In the 11th minute, João Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tales Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Pires could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Nestor Veloso made a huge save. After having played for 27 minutes, Vânderson Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araioses EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Dirceu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd match minute, Dirceu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donatello Teles to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th play minute Décio Pires came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nestor Veloso. 1-0. When Dirceu's Benjamin Vergílio in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Peixoto made a kick off. Araioses EC's Geovani Sá suffered a sore thigh after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Dirceu's Pedro Augusto Abraão got a free kick in the 54th minute. João Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tales Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Dirceu booed when Araioses EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes Dirceu got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Abraão. Décio Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tales Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Vergílio in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute Décio Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, João Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dirceu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Araioses EC the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Dirceu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Toscano to maneuver through the defense. When Vânderson Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araioses EC's protests and gave Vânderson Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Araioses EC's Vânderson Peixoto got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Araioses EC's Tales Ferraz got control of the ball when Donatello Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benjamin Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Tales Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dirceu. Benjamin Vergílio might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Ferraz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Vergílio ran back to his position shaking his head. Despite being the better team, Dirceu failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
