Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ronaldinho de Senna got the match started through his kick off. Ronaldo Madureira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oséias de Senna. Gramadinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dênis Trancoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oséias de Senna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gramadinho's zone, Dênis Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséias de Senna came out of the goal and Dênis Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enio do Nascimento hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Raúl Tande made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Luisinho Moreira sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute Ronaldinho de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luisinho Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Tande having to interfere. Canastra's Raúl Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Canastra from getting a goal against them. After having played for 31 minutes, Samuel Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canastra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raúl Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dênis Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dênis Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Oséias de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dênis Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Samuel Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Canastra's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho de Senna came free, but Raúl Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisinho Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raúl Tande having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Canastra's Dênis Trancoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oséias de Senna. That made the score 0-1 after 81 minutes of play. Canastra's Raúl Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Moreira in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho de Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raúl Tande. Canastra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldinho de Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Raúl Tande came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Gramadinho's Luisinho Moreira. But to his dismay, Luisinho Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dênis Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gramadinho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Canastra had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
