Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Alberto Miranda started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Félix in the 4th minute of play forced Maragogipe FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armandinho Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Narciso Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Armandinho Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Maragogipe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Miranda came free, but Armandinho Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Narciso Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Maragogipe FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Anselmo Reis hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Guairaca's Carlos Augusto Vale tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Maragogipe FC's Armandinho Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Miranda in the 15th minute of play. Armandinho Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Telmo Leal from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Osvaldinho Gaspar's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 21 minutes, Eurico Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guairaca and the Maragogipe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Eurico Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Gaspar having to interfere. A collision led to Guairaca getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Arí Diniz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telmo Leal got free with Osvaldinho Gaspar in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Alberto Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Telmo Leal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osvaldinho Gaspar. Telmo Leal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Anselmo Reis's late challenge caught a Guairaca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Reis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Anselmo Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Maragogipe FC's Anselmo Reis got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Arí Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maragogipe FC's Armandinho Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Félix in the 46th minute of play. Narciso Félix struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Armandinho Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guairaca. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 57th minute, Carlos Alberto Miranda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Armandinho Macedo, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Carlos Alberto Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guairaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armandinho Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, one of Guairaca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guairaca. The referee gave Maragogipe FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arnaldo Ribeiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guairaca's Osvaldinho Gaspar. 2-1. In the 77th minute, Léo Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Alberto Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Macedo having to interfere. If Narciso Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 82nd minute of the match Arí Diniz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arí Diniz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Arí Diniz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Telmo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Leal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Gaspar having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Maragogipe FC had won after a very even match.
