Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Durval Macedo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Zona's zone, Cícero Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando da Rocha came out of the goal and Cícero Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Durval Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Torres's late challenge caught a Zona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Torres helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Enemutu SC's Jaime Torres got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 17 played minutes Zona got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Queirós. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cícero Carioca in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Fernando da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Enemutu SC booed when Zona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Carlos Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Juan Teixeira made a huge save. João Carlos Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Teixeira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Enemutu SC's Zé Pedro Vander got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 36th match minute, Enemutu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernando da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Carioca in the 40th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Durval Macedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Teixeira. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Carioca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Luís Fábio de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, João Carlos Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Carlos Fernando da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cícero Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Carlos Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Fernando da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Carioca in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Jaime Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
