The Sobrado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabino Lopes should have stopped the shot. If Tiaguinho Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. Waldir Leão hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Sobrado's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Pitta came free, but Sabino Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Mota was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horácio de Carvalho in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabino Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donatello Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Sobrado's Donatello Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Flavinho Senna hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Calmon's Kiko Toscano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sobrado. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cláudio Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sobrado's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donatello Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Marcelo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Mota in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Mota saved Calmon from getting behind. The Calmon players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sobrado from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
