The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademar Loyola got free with Kauã Lara in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Anacleto FC's Luiz Eduardo Vieira got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Anacleto FC's zone, Carlinhos Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Cordeiro came out of the goal and Carlinhos Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Cordeiro having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráuzio Cordeiro. Anacleto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlinhos Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a little luck, Pagode EC's Kauã Lara got control of the ball when Ademar Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pagode EC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Délio Ceresso hit a great ball. Ademar Loyola was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Anacleto FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 46th minute, Luiz Eduardo Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Eduardo Vieira to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reynaldo Guimarães during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pagode EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
