Décio Baiano started the match with the kick off. When Tales Souto fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muritiba FC's protests and gave Tales Souto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Muritiba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Souto to maneuver through the defense. Eliézer Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Natanael Sampaio's late challenge caught a Manacapuru AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Sampaio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Manacapuru AD booed when Muritiba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hermínio de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. Dráuzio Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manacapuru AD's Décio Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dráuzio Abraão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermínio de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Décio Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Hermínio de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Baiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Décio Baiano ran back to his position shaking his head. If Décio Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Albertino da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. If Décio Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Baiano in the 58th minute of play forced Muritiba FC's goalkeeper Hermínio de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Baiano in the 59th minute of the match. With a little luck, Manacapuru AD's Eliézer Paranaense got control of the ball when Albertino da Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Albertino da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muritiba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manacapuru AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muritiba FC the free kick. After 79 played minutes Manacapuru AD got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Braga. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Décio Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermínio de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dráuzio Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Manacapuru AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Abraão couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Décio Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermínio de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.
