Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Macambara AD's Tiago Gabriel Vergílio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Percival Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Joélson Simão fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Intendencia's protests and gave Joélson Simão a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Intendencia got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Simão. André Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Afonso Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Cosme having to interfere. In the 13th minute Afonso Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Intendencia's Percival Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Intendencia from getting a goal against them. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Pedrão de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macambara AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Intendencia the free kick. The supporters of Intendencia booed when Macambara AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luís Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Cosme having to interfere. Pedro Luís Mandrak might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Cosme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luís Mandrak ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the game, Intendencia's Pedro Luís Mandrak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Afonso Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. André Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Netto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Intendencia were awarded a corner. Jonas Vinhas went to the cornerflag to take it. If Pedrão de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Macambara AD's Vicente de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Macambara AD's André Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Netto in the 72nd minute of play. André Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Netto in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Macambara AD's goalkeeper André Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luís Mandrak. If Pedro Luís Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Afonso Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Macambara AD got a freekick which was hit by Celso de Andrade. Walmir Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When Pedro Luís Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Intendencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Mandrak couldn't finish the play. The Intendencia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Intendencia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
