After a rather tough play, Taquarandi's Patrick Gerber got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 9 minutes into the match, Iacaia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Varela came free, but Afonsinho Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júnior Pinho in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Custódio Neto saved Taquarandi from getting behind. After 19 minutes, Leandro Linhares made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Iacaia FC's Afonsinho Carvalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Taquarandi's Custódio Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Taquarandi from getting a goal against them. Rui Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Carvalho having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Ademar Maciel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iacaia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taquarandi the free kick. 39 minutes into the match, Taquarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Pinho came free, but Custódio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Taquarandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Lara to maneuver through the defense. Afonsinho Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a rather tough play, Iacaia FC's Renan Prado got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Leandro Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovani Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Custódio Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iacaia FC. Taquarandi's Custódio Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Pinho in the 63rd minute of play. Fábio Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Taquarandi booed when Iacaia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júnior Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Haroldo Zilles in the 82nd minute really tested Afonsinho Carvalho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Iacaia FC's Afonsinho Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Iacaia FC from getting a goal against them. When Geovani Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Iacaia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Haroldo Zilles hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Taquarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Vides came free, but Custódio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
