Patrick Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aguacuzinho's goalkeeper Thiago Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claudinei Lima hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Baltazar Mazza from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Vicente Arruda's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 19th minute Patrick Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Salinas FC booed when Aguacuzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Salinas FC's zone, Eusébio Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Arruda came out of the goal and Eusébio Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Thiago Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Thiago Machado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Aguacuzinho getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Patrick Sampaio hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Jorginho Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorginho Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salinas FC's Vicente Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Salinas FC from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

60 minutes into the match, Aguacuzinho's Eusébio Teles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patrick Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Paulista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Paulista was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69th minute Jorginho Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorginho Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Paulista having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Thiago Machado made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Salinas FC's Vicente Arruda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Claudinei Lima fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguacuzinho's protests and gave Claudinei Lima a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Aguacuzinho got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Lima. Patrick Simões succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 82nd playminute. Fernão Neves hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Patrick Simões struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Thiago Paulista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salinas FC. After 90 played minutes Aguacuzinho got a freekick which was hit by Samuca de Carvalho. After a rather tough play, Aguacuzinho's Claudinei Lima got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Aguacuzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Félix came free, but Thiago Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jorginho Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salinas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorginho Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aguacuzinho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Salinas FC for a fine match.
