Aluísio de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the game, Leonardo Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cianorte EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papacaio the free kick. In the 5th minute, Leonardo Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Anísio Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Paulo Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Patrick Ortiz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Papacaio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Cianorte EC's Edgard Machado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luís Fábio Donato. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aluísio de Mendonça in the 17th minute of play forced Cianorte EC's goalkeeper João Paulo Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Aluísio de Mendonça sped through Cianorte EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Paulo Oliveira. Marquinhos Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aluísio de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. João Paulo Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matheus Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cianorte EC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Christiano Fantini hit a great ball. João Paulo Oliveira came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Papacaio's Aluísio de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Aluísio de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Marquinhos Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Almir Vinhas made the kick off in the second half. Matheus Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. João Paulo Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademar Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but João Paulo Oliveira made a huge save. After 56 played minutes Cianorte EC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Furtado. Matheus Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matheus Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Papacaio's Matheus Goiano got a free kick in the 58th minute. Giovanni Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Adalberto Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aluísio de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. João Paulo Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aluísio de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Marquinhos Mumbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Adalberto Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the game, Hermínio Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papacaio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cianorte EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Papacaio's Hermínio Nogueira got a free kick in the 96th minute. Luís Fábio Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Vinhas in the 98th minute of the match. The Cianorte EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Papacaio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
