The corner went over the outstretched arms of Camamu EC's goalie and right to Benjamim Goiano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Camamu EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Varas EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Cerezo hit a great ball. Camamu EC's Erivaldo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Goiano in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Camamu EC's Jânio Neves got a free kick in the 16th minute. Camamu EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benjamim Goiano 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Vicente Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Ramos in the 22nd minute of the match. Digo Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Erivaldo Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varas EC's Vicente Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Ramos in the 31st minute of play. Erivaldo Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Digo Lago sent off a good shot on target. Vicente Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Ramos in the 45th minute of play forced Varas EC's goalkeeper Vicente Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varas EC's Benjamim Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamim Goiano was the one to do the kick off. Varas EC's Digo Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 59 minutes, Reynaldo Paulista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camamu EC and the Varas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reynaldo Paulista hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match Luiz Fabiano Ramos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erivaldo Guimarães skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Varas EC's Jaime Bueno got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Luís Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camamu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamim Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Guimarães having to interfere. Jefferson Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benjamim Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Erivaldo Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Digo Lago came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Varas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Digo Lago couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Benjamim Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Varas EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Camamu EC for a fine match.
