Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luiz Fernando Nascimento took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Paulista FC booed when Igarapava EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match José Carlos Novaes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Penha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paulista FC's Arí Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Pena in the 5th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Jacinto Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igarapava EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 9 minutes, Régis Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Igarapava EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Régis Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Arí Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes Paulista FC got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Leite. Sydney Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Igarapava EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Penha stood somewhat misplaced when Luizão Leite came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 25 minute. Luiz Fernando Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Felipe Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paulista FC. Alfredinho Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Paulista FC's José Carlos Novaes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Felipe Penha. Pedrinho Botelho's late challenge caught a Igarapava EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. 42 minutes into the game, one of Paulista FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Felipe Penha made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Adalberto Bueno sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Pena to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Igarapava EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Pena to maneuver through the defense. Paulista FC's Arí Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Pena in the 55th minute of play. If Luiz Fernando Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes, Carlos Rezende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Igarapava EC and the Paulista FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Igarapava EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Rezende to maneuver through the defense. If Luiz Fernando Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fernando Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Igarapava EC defense, Luiz Fernando Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Penha. The Igarapava EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Penha should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Paulista FC's Arí Pinheiro got control of the ball when Régis Correia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Régis Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Arí Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Paulista FC's Luiz Fernando Nascimento made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe Penha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 83 played minutes Igarapava EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Lima. If Jacinto Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 89th minute of the match Pedrinho Botelho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pedrinho Botelho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 89th minute, Pedrinho Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Régis Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arí Pinheiro. Paulista FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Igarapava EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paulista FC.
