Abelardo da Costa came out of the goal and Wanderson Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes Iaci got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Sá. In the 14th minute of the match Christiano Trigo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo da Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Zézinho Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute Olavo da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Olavo da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Arce having to interfere. Wanderson Paranaense might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Paranaense ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, Acácio Saldanha notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Iaci's Giovani Arce. Giovani Arce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olavo da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Iaci booed when Ivolandia SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Zézinho Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Zézinho Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Abelardo da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Giovani Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Sá in the 59th minute of play forced Ivolandia SC's goalkeeper Abelardo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo da Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zézinho Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Zézinho Loureiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abelardo da Costa, 1-3. In the 67th minute, Zézinho Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Acácio Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ivolandia SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Olavo da Mata made a precise shot to the right of Giovani Arce. Iaci's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 78 minutes into the match, Ivolandia SC's goalkeeper Abelardo da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Paranaense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Loureiro in the 83rd minute of play forced Ivolandia SC's goalkeeper Abelardo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zézinho Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanderson Paranaense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Abelardo da Costa when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
