Gilson Meireles's late challenge caught a Gorgulho SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilson Meireles helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Gilson Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho da Cunha in the 26th minute of play forced Gorgulho SC's goalkeeper Cauan Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zézinho da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Loyola having to interfere. Cauan Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho da Cunha in the 88th minute of play. If Haroldo de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fechadinho EC's zone, Haroldo de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Délio Travassos came out of the goal and Haroldo de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
