With a little luck, Queixadas SS's Wanderson Quaresma got control of the ball when Valdo Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Elder Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Quaresma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Quaresma having to interfere. Felipe Quadros was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Sustino's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 19th minute, Elder Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A very good chance. 22 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Queixadas SS's Elder Sabóia fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 25th minute, Felipe Quadros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wanderson Quaresma. The goal made the score 2-0. Wanderson Quaresma came out of the goal and Felipe Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Valdo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wanderson Quaresma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Queixadas SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
