Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pelame's Pedro Paulo Cearense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiaguinho Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Cearense in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cipriano Bezerra during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cipriano Bezerra hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Cipriano Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 played minutes Puca EC got a freekick which was hit by Belchior Bastos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Cearense in the 9th minute of play forced Puca EC's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Paulo Cearense struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Tiaguinho Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelame. 27 minutes into the match, Puca EC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Bezerra came free, but Tiaguinho Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiaguinho Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Bezerra's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Tiaguinho Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Sidnei da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiaguinho Aguiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Paulo Cearense went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cipriano Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pelame's Cipriano Bezerra in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puca EC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Pelame's Jefferson Cardoso got a free kick in the 38th minute. The Pelame fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Pelame's Pedro Paulo Cearense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 44th minute Cipriano Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Pelame were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Tarcisio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Lucas in the 52nd minute of play. After 52 minutes, Gilberto Carioca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pelame and the Puca EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilberto Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Jefferson Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horácio Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Tarcisio Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pelame getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gilberto Carioca hit a great ball. Puca EC were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Pelame's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adalberto Pena took the corner. The corner led Puca EC's Adalberto Pena to fire away a dangerous shot which Tarcisio Ferreira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 80 played minutes Puca EC got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei da Silva. Cipriano Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Aguiar having to interfere. Jefferson Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match Adalberto Pena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tarcisio Ferreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cipriano Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Tiaguinho Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelame. The supporters of Puca EC booed when Pelame was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Pelame left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Puca EC.
