Arnaldo Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Recife having to interfere. Gabriel Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Fernandinho Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Agenor Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corumbalina SS. Arnaldo Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Freitas in the 15th minute of the match. Agenor Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexsandro Eger in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agenor Pernambucano saved Xapetuba from getting behind. Xapetuba's Agenor Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Eger in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Xapetuba's zone, Alexsandro Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agenor Pernambucano came out of the goal and Alexsandro Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Freitas in the 31st minute of play forced Corumbalina SS's goalkeeper Gabriel Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elder Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agenor Pernambucano having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gabriel Recife came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xapetuba's Arnaldo Brasil. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gabriel Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corumbalina SS's Elder Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Leão hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Nilton Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elder Ceresso got free with Agenor Pernambucano in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fausto Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Recife having to interfere. If Arnaldo Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corumbalina SS's Gabriel Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Brasil in the 86th minute of play. After 95 played minutes Xapetuba got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Pinho. Diogo Braga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
