Gostoso FC's Edmílson Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Loureiro in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Clóvis Bastos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betinho Arruda. Brava EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clóvis Bastos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Zézinho Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmílson Simão having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Gostoso FC's Severino Paranaense got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Brava EC's Geraldo Corrêa in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gostoso FC's goalie prevented a goal. Adriano Tavares hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Zézinho Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gostoso FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Betinho Silveira hit a great ball. Edmílson Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Betinho Arruda made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Clóvis Bastos sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Edmílson Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brava EC. With a little luck, Brava EC's Betinho Arruda got control of the ball when Clóvis Bastos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Gostoso FC's Evandro Urbano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Betinho Arruda. Betinho Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Loureiro in the 39th minute of play forced Gostoso FC's goalkeeper Edmílson Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evandro Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severino Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Edmílson Simão made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Geraldo Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. If Evandro Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evandro Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betinho Arruda having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Brava EC's Zézinho Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmílson Simão. That made the score 3-1 after 70 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Zézinho Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brava EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmílson Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brava EC's Betinho Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Bastos in the 79th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso de Toledo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Brava EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Zézinho Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Edmílson Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betinho Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Urbano in the 92nd minute of play. Gostoso FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
