Luiz Fábio Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Brava EC's Marco Motta threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zézinho Loureiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th minute, Edson Prado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betinho Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Adalberto Rossi took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betinho Arruda. Betinho Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 20th minute Adalberto Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Loureiro in the 28th minute of play forced Tezourinhas EC's goalkeeper Marco Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Olavo Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Zézinho Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brava EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Loureiro was the one to do the kick off. Marco Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Loureiro in the 58th minute of the match. Tezourinhas EC's Adalberto Rossi managed to work through Brava EC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Adalberto Rossi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Edson Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Geraldo Corrêa's late challenge caught a Tezourinhas EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geraldo Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. Geraldo Corrêa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Adalberto Rossi made a precise shot to the right of Betinho Arruda. Brava EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Tezourinhas EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Brava EC.
