Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Brava EC's Zézinho Loureiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Betinho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Brava EC got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Moraes. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Rafa Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascadura's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafa Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafa Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geraldo Corrêa got free with Dida Duarte in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Léo Quaresma charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Léo Quaresma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Betinho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Loureiro in the 30th minute of play forced Cascadura's goalkeeper Dida Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Sérgio Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascadura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Betinho Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Gaúcho in the 40th minute of play. Léo Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dida Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Prado struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Betinho Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascadura.

In the 55th minute, Rafa Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Betinho Arruda. Brava EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cascadura's zone, Zézinho Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Duarte came out of the goal and Zézinho Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Sérgio Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Betinho Arruda was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sérgio Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Arruda having to interfere. Brava EC's Geraldo Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
