A collision led to Ipauguacu getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Paulo José Araújo hit a great ball. Michel da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Criuva's Leonardo Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Gonçalves in the 11th minute of play. Sandro Bastos hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Dênis Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Rocha having to interfere. André Luís de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel da Mata kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 26thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Criuva's keeper Leonardo Rocha was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a little luck, Criuva's Leonardo Rocha got control of the ball when Michel da Mata tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sérgio Vianna hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Criuva's Dedê Campidelis got a free kick in the 36th minute. Felipe Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Moura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Dedê Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felipe Mineiro made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Michel da Mata made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Criuva's Leonardo Rocha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Mineiro in the 57th minute of the match. Bruno Moura made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Norberto Martins sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute Dênis Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Michel da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ipauguacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel da Mata couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Gernando Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Criuva defense, Michel da Mata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Rocha. The Criuva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Rocha should have stopped the shot. In the 77th match minute, Criuva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Dênis Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonardo Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dênis Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. Dedê Campidelis hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ipauguacu booed when Criuva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dênis Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Leonardo Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipauguacu.
