Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manfredo Faria got the match started through his kick off. Valdir Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Melo having to interfere. Basílio Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Giovanni Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chumichuga. Giovanni Melo came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Chumichuga's Valdir Prata. But to his dismay, Valdir Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15thth minute of the game Valdir Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liberata's Giovanni Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manfredo Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Simões having to interfere. In the 26th minute of the match, Manfredo Faria tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gláuber Simões saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Giovanni Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Prata in the 35th minute of play. Rubens Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gláuber Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Manfredo Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Valdir Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chumichuga's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Rubens Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdir Prata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Manfredo Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilmar Corrêa during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Chumichuga got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Corrêa. In the 54th minute, Dinei Neto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Chumichuga's Gláuber Simões didn't even have to move. Chumichuga's Gláuber Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Secco in the 58th minute of play. Valdir Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfredo Faria in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th match minute, Liberata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Pereira during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Valdir Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Manfredo Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Chumichuga fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Chumichuga's Basílio Aguiar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chumichuga! Celsinho Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Gláuber Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. If Celsinho Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Chumichuga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chumichuga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
