The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Freitas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Nicolas de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beco's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas de Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas de Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Giovanni Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beco. In the 28th minute, Manfredo Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liberata's Luís Paulo Chaves suffered a concussion after 35 minutes and had to leave the field. When Charles Nascimento was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. With a little luck, Liberata's Giovanni Melo got control of the ball when Rui Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Pedro Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Pedro Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Liberata getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Celsinho Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Liberata's Celsinho Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kléberson Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manfredo Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kléberson Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Loyola in the 79th minute of play forced Liberata's goalkeeper Giovanni Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Celsinho Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Celsinho Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liberata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas de Medeiros in the 91st minute of play forced Liberata's goalkeeper Giovanni Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
