Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ricardinho Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Edeia's Nicolas Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Nascimento in the 3rd minute of play. Tomé Santana's late challenge caught a Edeia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomé Santana helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes, Edeia's Ivo Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Otávio Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Edeia reached it. After having played for 10 minutes, Ricardinho Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosetinha SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardinho Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Edeia's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Nascimento came free, but Nicolas Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edeia's Nicolas Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Nascimento in the 14th minute of play. Fausto Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Arantes in the 19th minute of play forced Rosetinha SC's goalkeeper Otávio Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otávio Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Gerber went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Fausto Arantes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Ramos. Rosetinha SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Arantes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Edeia's Jacinto Pernambucano got a free kick in the 30th minute. Joel Lopes hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Rosetinha SC were furious when Túlio Recife was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rosetinha SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Fausto Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Otávio Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Gerber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otávio Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rosetinha SC's zone, Angelo Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otávio Ramos came out of the goal and Angelo Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otávio Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 67th match minute, Rosetinha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Santana to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Rossi during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Edeia got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Rossi. If Waldir Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Gerber in the 78th minute of the match. Fausto Arantes struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Otávio Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edeia. When Flávio Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edeia's protests and gave Flávio Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rosetinha SC booed when Edeia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomé Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Edeia's Angelo Rossi got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Edeia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
