The supporters of Abufary booed when Edeia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Vasconcelos in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Fantini saved Edeia from getting behind. Flávio Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Abufary's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when José Gerber scored to the left of an out of position Décio Cardozo, making the score, 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Edeia's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Vasconcelos came free, but Nicolas Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Fantini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago Maranhense went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Edeia's goalkeeper Nicolas Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Branco struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Nicolas Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abufary.

In the 55th minute, Clemente Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that José Gerber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Cardozo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After 66 played minutes Abufary got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Maranhense. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abufary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivo Abreu was slow to take the kick. During this time Edeia's players had a chance to rest. Ivo Abreu made a great header on Edeia's corner, it was just that Abufary's Décio Cardozo managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Paranaense during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, Bernardo Vasconcelos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicolas Fantini.
