The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Neiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael de Queirós. Totora FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdomiro Neiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Henrique Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joaci's protests and gave Henrique Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. Henrique Meireles hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Giovani da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Giovani da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Totora FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Totora FC's Hernani Romero got a free kick in the 25th minute. The audience was convinced that Valdomiro Neiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael de Queirós was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Evandro Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Cido Simões came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Joaci fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Simões couldn't finish the play. Totora FC's Raphael de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Neiva in the 32nd minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Cido Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael de Queirós. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Carneiro in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardinho Barral saved Joaci from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54thth minute of the game Valdomiro Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Totora FC's Raphael de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cido Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Raphael de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Neiva in the 57th minute of play forced Totora FC's goalkeeper Raphael de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovani da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Barral having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Raphael de Queirós successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cido Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Raphael de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdomiro Neiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raphael de Queirós came out and tried to block the shot, but Valdomiro Neiva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 68th minute. Raphael de Queirós was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Valdomiro Neiva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valdomiro Neiva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Raphael de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Cido Simões sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Carneiro scored 2-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardinho Barral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdomiro Neiva struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Raphael de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joaci. Valdomiro Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael de Queirós having to interfere.
