In the 2nd match minute, Jacama SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Messias to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Osvaldinho Garcia's late challenge caught a Jacama SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Osvaldinho Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Jânio Salgado saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Lira in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauro Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Lima having to interfere. After some careless play in the Coroacy SS defense, Dudu Simões kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Dante. The Coroacy SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Dante should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Simões in the 47th minute of play forced Coroacy SS's goalkeeper Ramiro Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dudu Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Dudu Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacama SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dudu Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Dante having to interfere. Mauro Pimentas short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Ezequiel Lima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 67th match minute, Coroacy SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Lira to maneuver through the defense. Coroacy SS's Ramiro Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Jacinto in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Dudu Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacama SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Sidney Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Simões in the 83rd minute of play. In the 90th minute, Nilton Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacama SC's Sidney Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermínio Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, one of Coroacy SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coroacy SS. Ciro Quaresma kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
