Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nilton Meirelles got the match started through his kick off. Waldemar Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovani Ferraz in the 5th minute. Geovani Ferraz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Waldemar Peixoto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Waldemar Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Geovani Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. Romeu Pontes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Sebastian's Eriberto Almeida couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Badajos. If Geovani Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Júlio Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilton Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior de Barros having to interfere. Edinho Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Sebastian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinho Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Badajos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Geovani Ferraz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Nilton Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badajos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nilton Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Badajos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilton Meirelles couldn't finish the play. When Belmiro Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sebastian's protests and gave Belmiro Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sebastian's Belmiro Palmeira got a free kick in the 37th minute. Belchior de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovani Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Peixoto having to interfere. With his leg Waldemar Peixoto managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Sebastian's Geovani Ferraz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Passos to make the kick off. Geovani Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Waldemar Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulinho Vidal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 55th playminute. After a rather tough play, Badajos's Romeu Pontes got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Waldemar Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Ferraz in the 73rd minute of play. Nilton Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Sebastian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Geovani Ferraz notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Badajos's Waldemar Peixoto. Waldemar Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Waldemar Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Geovani Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sebastian booed when Badajos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
