An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Bertassi in the 9th minute of play forced Timbahuba SC's goalkeeper Róbson Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Timbahuba SC's goalkeeper Róbson Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Loureiro. In the 18th match minute, Aracu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Lopez to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Aracu SC's Ian Gaspar got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Aracu SC's Sydney Dias got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, William Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes of play, Timbahuba SC's Marco Correia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino de Mendonça was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Timbahuba SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Giovanni de Barros hit a great ball. Róbson Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Loureiro in the 58th minute of the match. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Aracu SC's zone, Leonel Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino de Mendonça came out of the goal and Leonel Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino de Mendonça having to interfere. After 90 minutes of play Aracu SC's Raphael Lopez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Aracu SC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Raphael Lopez hit a great ball. Severino de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aracu SC's zone, Leonel Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino de Mendonça came out of the goal and Leonel Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 99 played minutes Aracu SC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Bertassi. The Timbahuba SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Timbahuba SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
