Percy Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Rapador FC's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Maciel came free, but Jeferson Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Simões having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Joaquim Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapador FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almesquinha EC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Rapador FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fernando Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Rapador FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Guedes. 18 minutes into the match, Almesquinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Abraão came free, but Victor Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando Massa spun around in front of the goal 28 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Rapador FC's goal. In the 30th minute, Almir Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Peixoto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 33rd minute of the match Percy Aguiar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Peixoto skillfully saved the ball. Luís Fernando Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Simões having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Rapador FC's goalkeeper Jeferson Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando Massa. In the 47th minute, Joaquim Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Túlio Maciel made a kick off. If Luís Fernando Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Maciel in the 53rd minute of play forced Rapador FC's goalkeeper Jeferson Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeferson Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fernando Massa went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Tostão Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Peixoto having to interfere. A collision led to Almesquinha EC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Evaristo Coutinho hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almir Abraão in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Peixoto saved Almesquinha EC from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Tostão Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeferson Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Massa in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Almesquinha EC's Túlio Maciel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeferson Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Thiago Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Rapador FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rapador FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
