Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Basílio Paraibano got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute Almir Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeferson Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovanni Lira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caxias booed when Rapador FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Rapador FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Paraibano came free, but Jeferson Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Sandrinho de Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jeferson Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes, Cássio Tróia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapador FC and the Caxias players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caxias booed when Rapador FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Caxias. Reynaldo Schmidt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jeferson Simões. 2-0. In the 26th minute, Basílio Paraibano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jeferson Simões, passed just outside the right post. In the 39th minute Tostão Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Caxias's Ramón Duarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeferson Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Rapador FC's Geovanni Lira got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Geovanni Lira off the ground. After a rather tough play, Rapador FC's Geovanni Lira got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

If Tostão Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caxias's Flavinho Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Caxias from getting a goal against them. Caxias's Basílio Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tostão Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Flavinho Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapador FC. In the 76th play minute Cafu Mota came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Flavinho Catarinense. 3-1. When Tostão Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Rapador FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão Mineiro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 85 minutes, Cafu Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapador FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cafu Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tostão Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Flavinho Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Rapador FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Paraibano came free, but Jeferson Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Sandrinho de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caxias were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rapador FC for a fine match.
