Jacurici EC's Albertino Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Barral in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víktor Barral in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino Cearense saved Jacurici EC from getting behind. André Luís Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Faustino in the 11th minute of the match. Albertino Cearense made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jeferson Prata sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Víktor Barral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertino Cearense was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Gino de Carvalho scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Luís Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Víktor Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Campinorte's Víktor Barral in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jacurici EC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Campinorte's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan Leme took the corner. The corner ended in Juan Leme almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Campinorte's André Luís Palmeira did a great save. After the first half Jacurici EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gino de Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Campinorte getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Teodoro Tavares hit a great ball. If Eliseu Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albertino Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Prata in the 67th minute of play. Váldson de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Cearense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Barral in the 76th minute of play forced Jacurici EC's goalkeeper Albertino Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Víktor Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albertino Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Prata in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jacurici EC defense, Jeferson Prata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertino Cearense. The Jacurici EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertino Cearense should have stopped the shot. If Eliseu Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Váldson de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Albertino Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Campinorte's Víktor Barral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albertino Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Campinorte walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
