Capumba EC's Simão Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robinho Arósio made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jeferson Prata sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Sebastião Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Campinorte's Robinho Ferreira got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Víktor Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Jeferson Prata could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Robinho Arósio however easily saved by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 84th minute, Jeferson Prata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campinorte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Capumba EC's Simão Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís Palmeira having to interfere. If Víktor Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Víktor Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Campinorte's Luís Eduardo Abreu suffered a concussion in the 95th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 96 minutes, Sebastião Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capumba EC and the Campinorte players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastião Pena hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Campinorte fans cheered their team off the field, for while Capumba EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
