Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Júnior Romero started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Válbson Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cobica AD's Wilton Andrade got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute, Cobica AD's Roger Loyola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Eriberto Schmidt hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Jânio dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Tarumirim FC's Walmir Queirós got control of the ball when Válbson Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cobica AD's Roger Loyola managed to work through Tarumirim FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Roger Loyola dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of Tarumirim FC booed when Cobica AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cobica AD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Eriberto Schmidt hit a great ball. Alfredinho Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio dos Santos in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cobica AD's Eriberto Schmidt got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Rubinho Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cobica AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarumirim FC the free kick. Rubinho Silva hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Denílson Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denílson Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tarumirim FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Tarumirim FC:s Walmir Queirós showed great skill when he stopped Wilton Andrade:s penalty. Júnior Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jânio dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Adriano Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válbson Santana to make the kick off. Válbson Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Queirós having to interfere. Júnior Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredinho Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Tales Brasil's late challenge caught a Cobica AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Tales Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Válbson Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Jânio dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cobica AD's Alfredinho Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Romero in the 67th minute of play. Tarumirim FC's Jânio dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Santana in the 70th minute of play forced Tarumirim FC's goalkeeper Walmir Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cobica AD's zone, Tales Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Montenegro came out of the goal and Tales Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Júnior Romero fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfredinho Montenegro, passed just outside the right post. After 88 minutes, Júnior Romero made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cobica AD's Alfredinho Montenegro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Tales Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Tarumirim FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tarumirim FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
