If Wilton Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinícius Castro during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinícius Castro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Tuyuty's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Magalhães came free, but Gilmar Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiliam Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Luizinho Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiliam Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Luizinho Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuyuty. After some careless play in the Pimentel FC defense, Wiliam Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizinho Rezende. The Pimentel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizinho Rezende should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Wiliam Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luizinho Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Edmundo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Edmundo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilton Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Tuyuty were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Wiliam Breckenfeld made the kick off in the second half. Pimentel FC's Luizinho Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Pimentel FC from getting a goal against them. Wiliam Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Rezende having to interfere. Luizinho Rezende made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Mazinho Paiva sent off a good shot on target. Wilton Quintal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilmar Arantes having to make a save. In the 71st minute Adrianinho Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luizinho Rezende having to make a save. Gilmar Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pimentel FC booed when Tuyuty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilton Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 89th minute of the match Isaltino Donato completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isaltino Donato a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th minute, Isaltino Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Edmundo Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilmar Arantes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Tuyuty supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tuyuty would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
