Daniel Lucas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Renato Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Vitório Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeribatuba's Daniel Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Tasso in the 16th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Frédson Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaquitinga and the Jeribatuba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frédson Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25thth minute of the game Lauro Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaquitinga's Renato Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jeribatuba's goalkeeper Daniel Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Jeribatuba booed when Itaquitinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vitório Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When Lauro Costa came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Jeribatuba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Costa couldn't finish the play. Daniel Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauan Tasso went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Hamílton Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Costa in the 65th minute of play forced Itaquitinga's goalkeeper Renato Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Vitório Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Costa in the 68th minute of play forced Itaquitinga's goalkeeper Renato Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kauan Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Itaquitinga fans jumped to their feet. With a little luck, Jeribatuba's Daniel Lucas got control of the ball when Kauan Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Itaquitinga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
