Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vitório Amaral kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Itaquitinga's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Sena came free, but Renato Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Sena in the 5th minute of play. Hermínio Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Renato Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Santa's zone, Vitório Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Romero came out of the goal and Vitório Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitório Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Itaquitinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Messias to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itaquitinga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Humberto Hoffmann was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Humberto Hoffmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Renato Fonseca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Duda Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 49th minute, Tarcisio Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duda Saldanha made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Duda Saldanha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Renato Fonseca. Duda Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After 59 played minutes Duda Saldanha rounded Itaquitinga's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. In the 65th minute Kauan Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Romero having to interfere. In the 69thth minute of the game Vitório Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa's Charles Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vitório Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, Itaquitinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Renato Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Itaquitinga's Frédson Leite got a free kick in the 91st minute. A hard shot 95 in the game by Percy Mota from a close distance when the talented Renato Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. Itaquitinga's players were relieved. Frédson Leite's late challenge caught a Santa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Leite helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Frédson Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda Saldanha in the 97th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
