Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Augusto Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Goianas AD's João Augusto Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Velasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Augusto Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Paulinho Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Luiz Fabiano Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Abreu in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute of the match Leandro Motta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roger Velasco skillfully saved the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Massacara's Paulo José Vidal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulinho Tande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anselmo Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulinho Tande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. After 79 played minutes Goianas AD got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Abreu. In the 82nd minute, João Augusto Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Augusto Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
