Chavantina's Donato Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Martins in the 21st minute of play. With his leg Donato Moreira managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Coceira's Dé Paulista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Chavantina's zone, Dé Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Moreira came out of the goal and Dé Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dé Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Moreira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Martins in the 27th minute of play forced Chavantina's goalkeeper Donato Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Dé Paulista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donato Moreira. Dé Paulista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Dé Paulista struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Donato Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coceira. Donato Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Coceira's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Gaspar came free, but Washington Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
