After 50 played minutes Curimata SS got a freekick which was hit by Benê Paes. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Theotonio's Vágner Branco got control of the ball when Hermínio Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeu Novaes came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Theotonio's Yuri Lara. But to his dismay, Yuri Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Curimata SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
