In the 13th minute Tomás Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Matapiquara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Valle to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Marquez was a little too slow when André Luiz Antunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. Adalberto Marquez made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Natã Pires sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Matapiquara getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Doni Nascimento hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Murilo Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matapiquara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jandaira FC the free kick. In the 31st minute, Donatello Borges sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Matapiquara's Adalberto Marquez didn't even have to move. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Matapiquara's goalkeeper Adalberto Marquez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Claudinho Arce fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matapiquara's protests and gave Claudinho Arce a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jandaira FC booed when Matapiquara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yan da Fonseca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Adalberto Marquez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Matapiquara's zone, André Luiz Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Marquez came out of the goal and André Luiz Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giovanni Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Hermes having to interfere. In the 45th minute Giovanni Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanni Ribeiro to make the kick off. Yan Lopes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Adalberto Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 72nd minute, one of Jandaira FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jandaira FC. The referee gave Matapiquara a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno Vianna, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jandaira FC's Erik Hermes. 1-2. Tomás Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Erik Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Jandaira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Ribeiro came free, but Erik Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan da Fonseca in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Jandaira FC booed when Matapiquara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Tomás Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matapiquara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jandaira FC's Erik Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Ribeiro in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matapiquara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
