Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Egídio Oliveira started the match with the kick off. When Acácio Faustino fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapema's protests and gave Acácio Faustino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ermida booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Faustino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Ermida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. Itapema's Ivo de Lara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 14th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fausto Ramalho but with some difficulty. 16 minutes into the game, João Vítor Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fausto Ramalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Paulo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Oliveira in the 20th minute of play. If Adhemar de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Branco having to interfere. 26 minutes in the game, João Vítor Andrade fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fausto Ramalho having to interfere. João Vítor Andrade took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Ramalho. Fausto Ramalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Egídio Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Zé Paulo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Itapema getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ivo de Lara hit a great ball. Zé Paulo Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Egídio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Branco having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Silvério Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapema's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ermida the free kick. After 60 played minutes Itapema got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Araújo. 61 minutes into the match, Ermida's Maurício Figueiredo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 63rd match minute, Ermida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Manolo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Itapema's Acácio Faustino got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Acácio Faustino off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Oliveira in the 73rd minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo Branco made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Adhemar de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. Fausto Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Andrade in the 78th minute of play. João Vítor Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fausto Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Breckenfeld might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Branco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cido Breckenfeld ran back to his position shaking his head. Egídio Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Vítor Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Vítor Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Itapema fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ermida had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
