Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Frédson Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nildo Pires having to make a save. If Eliézer Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acácio Faustino kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Zé Roberto Barreto got in the 15th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Zé Paulo Branco handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Dadá Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nildo Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Pires made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when João Vítor Andrade sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Itapema's zone, Zé Roberto Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Branco came out of the goal and Zé Roberto Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Dadá Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Koehler took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Paulo Branco. Zé Paulo Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zé Paulo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Koehler in the 26th minute of play. Acácio Faustino hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. A collision led to Copaiba getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Murilo Sabóia hit a great ball. Nildo Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Figueiredo in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Copaiba's goalkeeper Nildo Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Vítor Andrade. Nildo Pires was a little too slow when Dadá Figueiredo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Dadá Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Eliézer Koehler dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Paulo Branco, 1-3. In the 63rd minute Eliézer Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, one of Itapema:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itapema. Adalmo Mandrak placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a rather tough play, Itapema's Acácio Faustino got a free kick in the 69th minute. Adalmo Mandrak, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manolo Fernandes during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Itapema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolo Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. João Vítor Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nildo Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Zé Roberto Barreto notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Itapema's Zé Paulo Branco. Zé Paulo Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Copaiba's Conrado Netto got a free kick in the 85th minute. João Vítor Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nildo Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Figueiredo in the 89th minute of the match. Itapema's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ivo de Lara in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the match, Copaiba's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Andrade came free, but Nildo Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Copaiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Netto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Copaiba's Conrado Netto got a free kick in the 97th minute. The Copaiba supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Copaiba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
