A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Sucuriu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Paraibano came free, but Nilmar Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Richard Paraibano sped through Sucuriu AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nilmar Valadares. Breno Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Sucuriu AD getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Vicente Coelho hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Tony Gomes in the 48th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Nilmar Valadares's left hand side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Richard Paraibano made the kick off in the second half. Gilvan Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Machado having to interfere. When Breno Cardozo fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sucuriu AD's protests and gave Breno Cardozo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Breno Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, Richard Paraibano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nilmar Valadares. Richard Paraibano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Agnaldo Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Valadares having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lalima SC's Luís Fabiano Meirelles got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 85 minutes of play, Lalima SC's Agnaldo Saldanha made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilmar Valadares was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gilvan Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Lalima SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
